Hamburg Airport or Hamburg Fuhlsbuttel Airport as it is also known is the 5th busiest airport in Germany. It handles over 12 million passengers a year on average. You could also try the Vino Bar, the Caffe Treff or for something more substantial Restaurant Olivia.
Hamburg is a major port and city and often seen as the gateway to Germany. Famous landmarks in the city are the Rathaus (town hall) and the churches of St Jacobi and St Petri. You can see the ruins of the 9th century Hammaburg Fort and the 11th century Bishops Tower, for a little history. Take a boat trip around the harbour area or go shopping on Monckebergstrasse. In the harbour area you will find museums, including the International Maritime Museum, the Auto Museum and the Spice Museum. Nearby are also the Hamburg Dungeon and Miniatur Wunderland. With car hire in Hamburg you can drive out to the medieval city of Lubeck or the beautiful Luneburger Heide region.
